National Migration Week | ||
National Migration Week will be observed by Catholics in the United States during the week of Jan 5-12. Assumption Parish will participate in the Migration Film Festival organized by the Immigration Parish Council. The event will take place during the last week of January, 2020. Details about the date and films selected coming soon. |

This presentation by Fr. John Pawlikowski, O.S.M., Professor Emeritus of Social Ethics at Catholic Theological Union, an advisor to the Archdiocese of Chicago for the implementation of Laudato Si, Pope Francis’ encyclical on caring for our common home, will guide us through the Pope’s encyclical and help us understand why Pope Francis says that caring for creation is an integral part of Catholic teaching.
