Our Annual Blessing of Pets in Honor of the Feast of St. Francis took place Saturday morning, October 10 in front of church. Fr. Joe blessed 7 cats and 83 dogs!

 Our annual blessing of the runners participating in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon took place on Saturday, October 10 at the 5pm Mass. Runners, their family, and fan clubs attended.

| Plenary Indulgence |

2026 marks the 300th anniversary of the canonization of St. Peregrine, the fourteenth century Servite Friar known as The Cancer Saint. During the Jubilee Year, pilgrims may obtain a plenary indulgence by visiting a Servite church or shrine (like Assumption), spending time in Eucharistic Adoration, saying the Our Father and the creed, and invoking the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Peregrine.

| Assumption Young Adults |

The Young Catholic Professionals of Chicago will join the Assumption Young Adults for a Holy Hour at Assumption on Thursday November 12 from 6:00 to 7:00pm. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available during the Holy Hour. Following Adoration, there will be fellowship and drinks at Hampton Social on Hubbard. All those in their twenties or thirties, married, single, or coupled are welcome. Free validated Parking in MartParc, Orleans and Hubbard. |
