Baptism Preparation Session

Our next preparation session for parents (and, if possible, godparents) of infants to be baptized is Monday June 27 at the Rectory. Sessions are from 7:00 to 8:15pm.  These sessions are for first time parents and for parents who have never before attended a preparation session. Call the Parish Office to register. It is not necessary to wait for the baby to be born to attend a preparation session. Baptisms normally take place on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 1:15pm and on the first weekend of the month during Mass. More here

Eucharistic Adoration

There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on the Third Monday of the month from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Exposition will next take place on Monday, May 16. Validated parking will be available at MartParc, Orleans and Hubbard.

Laudato Si' and Me

Pope Francis, through his encyclical Laudato si’, encourages us to care for God’s creation, our common home. Laudato si’ integrates ecological aspects of the environment, the economy, our society, our culture, our daily life, the common good and justice between generations.

We as a parish embrace the Laudato si’ effort and goals. We each have a personal opportunity to commit to the goals through Assumption’s Laudato si’ and Me ongoing information site, which will offer practical ideas for action.

The Laudato si’ and Me section of our website will be updated each month with new topics and ideas. Click here for more information about this month’s topic, Shopping for Food

Assumption's Mens Group

Assumption's Men's Group will have an organizational meeting Sunday, May 22 at 11:30am in the Parish Hall, to discuss plans for the coming year. Light refreshments will be provided. For further information, contact Michael Ripani at mripani@handlerthayer.com.
