The Servite Friars of the united States Province will gather for Chapter in Libertyville from June 15-19. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of that week (June 16, 17, and 18) Deacon Kevin will have a Liturgy of the Word Service with Communion in lieu of the 12:10 Mass. The 7:00am Mass will take place as usual.

Our next preparation session for parents (and, if possible, godparents) of infants to be baptized is Monday, June 22, at the Rectory. Sessions are from 7:00 to 8:15pm. These sessions are for first time parents and for parents who have never before attended a preparation session. Call the Parish Office to register. It is not necessary to wait for the baby to be born to attend a preparation session. Baptisms normally take place on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 1:15pm and on the first weekend of the month during Mass. More here.

Celebrate the beginning of summer with an ice cream social in the Garden following the 9:00, 10:30, and 12:15 Masses on June 24. The annual Blessing of the Garden will take place following the 9:00 Mass.

2026 marks the 300th anniversary of the canonization of St. Peregrine, the fourteenth century Servite Friar known as The Cancer Saint. During the Jubilee Year, pilgrims may obtain a plenary indulgence by visiting a Servite church or shrine (like Assumption), spending time in Eucharistic Adoration, saying the Our Father and the creed, and invoking the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Peregrine.
