Disciple Maker Index - survey

The DMI is a survey tool that invites you to reflect on your discipleship journey here at Assumption and to help parish leadership make decisions about the future. This is a survey which parishioners in all parishes in the Archdiocese are being asked to participate. It should take 10-15 minutes to complete. All responses are confidential.

Some of you will remember completing this survey three years ago. One of the goals is to see if our efforts to respond to our areas of weakness three years ago have made a difference.

Lenten Scripture Study

We invite you to participate in a weekly guided study and discussion of the Scriptures assigned for the Sundays of Lent, using materials provided by Renew International.

The group will meet on Mondays from 6:00 to 7:15pm, beginning February 16. For more information or to sign up email bible@assumption-chgo.org

Assumption Young Adults

Assumption Young Adults will gather in the Parish Hall  following the 5:00pm Mass on Sunday February 22. For more information about this event or other AYA activities, email assumptionaya@gmail.com.  AYA is for anyone in their twenties or thirties, single, coupled, or married.

Evangelizing in an Interfaith Context

Catholics are  increasingly encouraged to become "missionary disciples. But what does witnessing to the Good News of Jesus Christ look like when encountering a Christian or a Non-Christian relative, friend, or even a spouse who is not Catholic? How do Non-Christian faiths view evangelization?

Dr Daniel Olsen, Director of the Office for Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Affairs of the Archdiocese of Chicago, will give the first presentation in our Evenings of Faith Series at 7:00pm Wednesday February 25 in Assumption's Parish Hall. Free parking is available at the 311 West Illinois garage.
