| Have You Explored Alpha? | |
Alpha is a series of videos and guided discussions that help cradle Catholics live and share their faith in a more intentional way, help those who have become alienated from church or religion to find their way back, and help those who have no experience of faith or church address some basic questions about life. Alpha is an opportunity to ask questions and express your truth in a non-judgmental atmosphere. Consider coming yourself and invite a friend or family member who is not an active church member to come with you. To sign up, email alpha@assumption-chgo.org. | Welcoming New Catholics | |
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is for those over the age of 18 who have never been baptized, were baptized Catholic but received little or no religious formation and for those baptized in another Christian faith and want to explore becoming Catholic. The group meets on Sunday mornings beginning in September. Those who choose to continue with the process would receive their Sacraments at the first Mass of Easter. Call Fr. Joe for more information. There will be an information session about OCIA on Sunday, August 30 at 11:30 in the rectory. |

On May 16, Assumption's Young Adults prepared bag lunches for the homeless and needy. AYA takes part in a number of service, social, and spiritual activities during the year.
